Philosophy is pretty simple, yet it's also everything in life... My class is 4 people so it's fun you feel me.
Philosophy makes up the bottom and the top of most subjects, especially those relating to maths, differentiating reasoning.
understanding a priori and a posteriori is a pretty simple concept but it will probably pin everything this subject teaches
Is a knowable truth, something that is fundamentally true without reasoning i.e. Moral Law and Mathematics.
Is a proveable truth, something that requires knowledge, understanding and reasoning to be true i.e. Max is taller than most Men.
The other side to this is both Doubt, which can come in: Philosphical, Reasonable and Personal doubt. Each requiring differing thinking to work.
Went over Plato's cave again, havent seen it in years but it is real simple
there's dudes locked up in a cave since they were little, only one decides to leave
in the cave theres shadows depicting what they understand as life by using shadows and a fire
fire symbolises what people think life's like (i.e. cheesey) and the shadows are like a taught thought
the guy who leaves sees the sun, is blinded then sees the world
this symbolises philosophical thought obviously, being beautiful but difficult to understand
then he goes back and says hey come out, rest of everyone calls him delusional or ignore him
this obviously symbolises ignorance (i.e. Cheesey) but still yeah, it's pretty simple tho
like philosophy is difficult and idiots will just dismiss what they dont get
so yeah.
Philosophy often times feels extremely egotistical, like those who say
IN THIS MOMENT I AM EUPHORIC
or something sillay like that, however you really do have lots to back it
I would much rather be a man dissatisfied than a pig satisfied
my cousin ryan always said he'd prefer being like idiots, ignorant of the world able to enjoy what they have and thats all
but he often seems just self destructive, he says he's able to live alone however he's hardly left his parents house and has nearly no money
Cognito Ergo Sum is something I'd hear him say but not that of someone who truly knows what theyre doing
but yet thats a random statement from a long line of complicated thought in attempting to prove reality and morals
and so yet we have to prove our selves, and long complicated statements tend to be stolen from previous thought
I guess the world truly has less use in savants in thought, we haven't really seen a philosopher in years
never ever say elon musk or anything of the sort, theyre just rich people with good enough thought. I do NOT accept him as a smart person
